If you want to discipline your dog without hitting him, a good way is to spray water on him and give him verbal warning. Doing this will get the message across in a non-abusive way. How you train your dog is considered to be essential. You want a dog which you can take out for a walk without worrying about him bothering others. You would want your dog to listen to your commands.
